The Good News of Christmas

What if this (picture above) is what it felt like to do the work of God?

What if this was what if felt like to “follow Him” to “die to yourself so that Christ may live?” “To love God with all your heart mind soul and strength?” “To be a light to the world?” “To seek justice, love mercy and walk humbly?”

What if this is what it felt like to follow Jesus? What if this is what God meant by my burden is easy, my yoke is light?

What if we are truly invited to relax, settle in and to soar. To have the whole weight of our body rest on the wings of another. The weight of our hearts, our lives, our responsibilities, our sorrows, our joys, our dreams and our fears; the weight of it all completely held.

“For those who hope in the Lord with renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

What if this is what it feels like to have God with us? For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Savior is given. And He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The good news of Christmas is we are no longer alone. God is holding us, Christ dwells among us and the Spirit lives within us.

Merry Christmas!
