"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Luke 10:27
We are called to love God through different areas of our lives. A friend and I used to use this verse as a way to take inventory in our lives and structure goals.
Take a few moments to consider each area with God, asking the question "What do You want to me to know about this area? What do You want me to do?"
TRY THIS: If you're like me, if you don't do this now you may never do it...
-Set a timer on your phone for 10 minutes
-Grab a piece of scratch paper and pen
-Start the timer...ready go....
Loving God with all your...
Heart: Relationships with others. How are the relationships in my life going?
"God, what do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?"
Soul: Relationship with God & Self. How is my self-love and connection with God? Am I staying in my true identity?
"God, what do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?"
Strength: How is my relationship to my body? Am I caring for it?
"God, what do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?"
Mind: How am I growing? What am I learning?
"God, what do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?"
Neighbor: How am I doing at loving my neighbor?
"God, what do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?"
Now look back at your list. Circle a one or two things that stick out. Overall, what might God want you to know? What might He want you to do?
